We use the ’email users’ plugin for mass mailings to our users. Unfortunately, it does not refer to Connections for categories to filter; instead, it filters on user groups which differ mechanically from Connections categories. We have users who may match several categories and would much prefer to use them. For example, as a church group we have ‘Teachers’, ‘Leaders’, ‘elected officers’, ‘appointed officers’, and so on. All of these are in ‘Leaders’, but only two are ‘Teachers’. That specificity is completely lacking in users. We also are concerned about having to maintain similar information in two unrelated databases.
We would love to be able to manage our mass mailings from ‘Connections’, or filter mass mailings from users based on Connections categories.

Yes, this would be an outstanding feature to have. Maybe this is something that could be added as an extension when Link is installed…
