ParticipantWhat is the string substitution for “honorific suffix”? I know how to customize display of the strings as listed in the control panel (e.g. “%first%”, “%last%”, “%middle%”), but I can’t get any combination of honorific suffix (including “%honorific_suffix%”) to display, nor can I find a list of substitution codes.
Thanks.

It is:
%suffix%Here’s the link to the docs covering the tokens:

Hope that helps!

Another location this can be found:
- Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page.
- Click the Customize button for cMap.
- The page will reload displaying the Customizer on the left and a preview on the right.
- Click the Back Arrow in the upper left of the Customizer.
- Click the Advanced panel.
- The tokens can be found under the Name Format option in the help text.
I thought you might find that location helpful too since it contains the tokens for the other fields.

ParticipantI discovered what is triggering the issue (“%suffix% still wasn’t working for me). Apparently the %suffix% string replacement is only recognized in in the title of a listing with the “Individual” setting checked; if the “Organization” listing type is checked, then “%suffix%” isn’t parsed inside the listing.
For example: “Individual” type displays as:
Joe Jones, MD (title)
Health Care Associates (byline)Switched to “Organization” type, displays as:
Health Care Associates (title)
Joe Jones, %suffix% (byline)01/16/2019 at 10:02 am #481846Steven Zahm

RE: the %suffix% string replacement is only recognized in in the title of a listing with the “Individual” setting checked
Correct as Organizations and Family entry types names do not have a suffix.
RE: if the “Organization” listing type is checked, then “%suffix%” isn’t parsed inside the listing.
Correct.
RE: Switched to “Organization” type, displays as: … Joe Jones, %suffix% (byline)
Hmmm where are you inserting %suffix% in this case? When an entry is an Organization, there are Contact First and Last Name fields, no suffix. So it would not be supported. The supported tokens are
%label%%separator% %first% %last%. These are also listed on the Template Customizer where the Name Format tokens are listed.Hope this helps!
