ParticipantI am using the list widget on a page to provide a list of links to websites from a category. This is currently setup so the thumbnail image links to the website. Optimally I would like to have the text link also to the website but my only option on the text link is to link to the entry.
The issue I am having with the image links is that I am using Siteshot as a backup so if there is no image it will use Siteshot. In the list widget if there is no image it does not use Siteshot for the image which means there is no image and therefore no link to the website. One of 3 things would be helpful here. 1) If the placeholder linked to the site. 2) If the text could be linked to the website instead of the entry. 3) The Siteshot image could be used in the widget. (2 would be my choice)
My workaround for now is to manually add images to the entries that don’t have images. Defeats the purpose of Siteshot in this instance but at least the links will work.

The placehold can not (easily) be refactored to be a link to the site and the name is reserved for being a link to the entry’s profile page. I know the later is your preferred, but there is really no way to change this.
That said…
I just released Widget Pack 2.3 and SiteShot 1.5. The update to both allows SiteShot to hook into the List Widget to add the SiteShot option for the image. I think that might suit your needs.
Hope that helps, let me know.
