    Hi Connections team.

    I am just weighing up the purchase between connections and another plugin –
    but although Connections has pretty much all the functionality, i cannot identify whether it will allow me to integrate a directory exactly as i wish

    The basis of the list would be similar to the ‘Tile’ style/template, with a snapshot of the entry and then on a click would link to the full entry.

    Is this possible with connections, and if so how would i do it and which templates would i need.

    As of the newly released version 0.7.4, yes, you can. Here’s how. Of course, you would need the Tile Plus or Tile template. On the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab, check the option for Single Entry. Under the Advanced tab check the Name link option. Now go to the Connections : Templates admin page activate the Tile template you purchased under the “All” section. And lastly under the “Individual” and “Organization” sections activate Bio Entry Card template.

    I believe that’ll get you what your looking to do.

    However i have made the purchase.

    HOWEVER : when is 0.7.4 released ?

    Apologies i downloaded from the link … hence the old version.

    Yes, it’s is very possible with the directions I provided. In the other thread where I said it wasn’t possible, that date was on Feb 8th. My reply to you with the direction was on Feb 25th. Connections 0.7.4 was pushed as an update on Feb 24th.

    Is there a particular step with the instructions I provided that you need additional assistance with?

    Thank you for the great support Steven (and your patience).

    I got a bit confused on setting the different templates for the different uses/views (e.g. indi, org).

    Just a suggestion …. maybe a bit of help in the actual plugin (connections dashboard) screen explaining this. AND maybe even showing on one screen which templates are assigned to the different views at any one time …… just an idea

    Apologies for the confusion! This feature is very new, and still very much under development so making this easier to understand is definitely on the to do list.
