ParticipantDon’t know how to set up “link on log in.” Please advise.
User’s will not have access to wp-admin. Thus, no profile or and no Howdy…
All front end. Need a front-end solution.
Thanks.

There is nothing to setup for the “link on login” it is an action run by Link when a user logs into your site. That action will run regardless if the user has access to wp-admin or not. Right now, Link does not have a front end maintenance feature so there is not anything that can be done to eliminate the need to access the Link page.

ParticipantWell then perhaps I don’t understand how it works. I logged in with both a subscriber and and editor role on separate occasions (that is, with two separate user names and passwords). I went to the admin bar and chose “Edit My Directory Entry.” This took me to a blank “Add My Directory Entry” form.
Thinking I was somehow in the wrong place, I selected “Your Directory Entry” under Profile and I was again re-directed to the “Add My Directory Entry” that was also blank.
I was thinking it would take me to my already populated entry form for editing.
What am I doing wrong?
Previously, I logged in and approved the listings. Both the editor and subscriber listing are visible in the member directory.

Some member plugins hijack the login process so they Link action never gets the opportunity to run. I’ve made a slight tweak that has resolved this for others to the action priority. I suspect if you log in and back out, the user account and Connections entry will now properly link. Give it a go and let me know.

ParticipantUnfortunately, Link still does not work. I created a user with a subscriber role with the Add Entry Moderated role. I logged out overnight. I came back this morning, logged in as the user with the subscriber role. I went to the admin bar and chose “Edit My Directory Entry.” This took me to a blank “Add My Directory Entry” form.
I selected “Your Directory Entry” under Profile and I was again re-directed to the “Add My Directory Entry” that was also blank.
Not sure what to do at this point. Actually, I like the idea of members being able to maintain their directory entry without moderation. But, if Link doesn’t work because the site is a membership site, it looks like they won’t be able to anyway.
Open to other suggestions.

Ok, I’ll log back in and create a test user to see if I can figure it out, Link should work regardless if there is moderation or not.
