GuestHi there,
I am hoping to add a page to my wordpress website that is a photo member directory for my synagogue. The way gridder works on this example page would be perfect:
http://leadingedgeagents.com/find-an-agent/char/J/
I need the alphabetical index at the top, and photos below. The only issue is that the photos will be of families (not single people or portraits), and therefore I would like larger photos so that facial detail can be seen. Is the code customizable so that I can make the grid display two photos on each row, so that the photos can be larger?
Thanks!

The image size in Gridder is adjustable. See this doc page:
http://connections-pro.com/documentation/gridder/#Grid_Size
Something to keep in mind though is the template is designed with using profile shots so the auto cropping is set to be center weighted so you might have to preprocess the images to take that into account so people at the ends of the photo are not cropped of.
Hope that answers your question thoroughly!

GuestSo you mean if I choose each photo to be 400X400, I need to upload the photo at that exact size to get the results I want, instead of uploading a high-res original image and have the system do the autocropping?
Also, how hard is it to add tat alphabetical index above the photos, seen here?

Thanks so much for all your help!

No, you can upload the original image. You just need to keep in mind that when the auto cropping is applied that is is center weighted, meaning, when the crop is applied, the image will be scaled down to fit the size you choose and then the exceed cropped off the sides and/or the top and bottom evenly. So if you are uploading images of families, you will need to make sure there is enough image that no one is cropped off.

It is not hard at all. It is a setting on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab.

GuestThanks! Is there a charge to use this after the initial $19.99 is paid?

There is an option, but recommended, annual renew fee. The initial purchase you’ll get a year of updates and support for Gridder. After that year, you can, optionally, choose to renew the support license for continued support and updates. Gridder will continue to function if you choose not to (unless there is a breaking change in Connections which I avoid doing).
Hope that answers your question thoroughly.
