GuestHello, Admins, I just installed the Connections plugin for WordPress on a site that I’m working on on a local server. However, I would like to a make a few customizations to it, obviously to fit my business’s needs. I’ve compiled what I want to do in the following lines. Please guide me through it. Thanks for this great plugin!
* How do I change the “Work Phone, Work Email, Contact, and Website” text to something that best fits my needs? (i.e. instead of “Work Phone”, I want to display the text “Office Phone”).
* How can I remove or change the “Updated xx Hours Ago” text?
* How do I remove the line “Add to Address Book”?
* Is it possible to, say, change the color of the body of each listing depending on the category or relevance (for, say, premium users)?
* Is it possible to maintain certain listings on top of others? (For premium users, I would like to display them as priority.)
Again, thank you so much (in advance) for your support!
DF.

Sounds as if you really need to create a custom template. You can find the files for the default template here:
…/wp-content/plugins/connections/templates/cardI recommend making a copy of that folder and files. Put that copy here:
../wp-content/connections_templatesChange the folder name from “card” to whatever. Keep it all lowercase with hyphens for spaces.
Open the meta.php change the details as needed.
Now you can make most your changes to the template.php file.
To change the text, take a look at this post for a very easy way to do that:
