GuestHi Steven,
We’ve been using your connections plugin for some time on a couple websites we’ve created and recently It has developed a problem.
The problem is with the jquery validate plugin, when we load the page and check the console the error we see is “jquery.validate.min.js?ver=1.11.1:11 Nothing selected, can’t validate, returning nothing.”
I’ve checked on some of the sites you have in the showcase section of this website and some of them are displaying the same error.
This isn’t causing an noticeable functionality problems with the plugin but I believe it could be causing some other problems we’re experiencing such as causing some of the scripts we’ve included on our page from working and displaying categories which previously were hidden (e.g. uncategorised).
Any help with this problem would be greatly apprietiated, let me know if you need any more information.
Kind Regards,
Aidan

First, I should say, this is not an error. It is only a noticed being output by jQuery Validate. The generation of this notice and will not prevent other scripts from running.
That said…
This notice was fixed in version 2.1 of Form so if you are seeing this, then I suspect you are running an out of date version. The current version is 2.3, I highly suggest updating it.
I hope that helps! Please let me know.

GuestThanks for the reply Steven,
I see, sorry about my mistake, I’ve spent some more time looking into it and found the source of our problem, It was just some javascript that was inserted directly into the directory page that all of a sudden stopped working, not exactly sure why, but I removed it, placed it in the themes function.php file and added it to the page using a shortcode, this has fixed our problem.
Thanks for your help.
