ParticipantLooking for a way to list just names and birthday in a one column list, e.g.
john smith 1/20/1950
amy dull 2/2/1947
chris main 3/27/1977etc…
Is there a way? I can envision the need for simple displays of other fields in the same manner.

You have two options.
The first is to use the upcoming_list shortcode or the Widget Pack extension which has widgets available to list the birthdays and anniversaries.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantWhen I use [upcoming_list] all by itself
I get: ERROR: Template not found.
What am I doing wrong?

ParticipantSo I got it to work by setting the birthday template to birthday_light. If I set it to anything else, I get the template not found error, which is kind of misleading.

huh … that’s a bug, I wonder when that broke. You should be able to activate any of the templates under the type. I’ll log this issue and track down the bug and get it fixed.

ParticipantA follow up.. Can I use one of your templates (paid or free) to show a list w/o pictures and specify which fields I want. I would want something like names, addresses, birthdays.
Are there options to the built in template displays?

re: Are there options to the built in template displays?
Sorry, no, these are not options with the built in templates. The paid template can turn off/on fields sets, if that is what you’re asking. Take a look at the doc page for cMap, you’ll see options that begin with show or enable for fields. As you see, cMap will display all by default, but you can turn them off. Additionally, If you do not enter anything for a field within an entry, the field will not be displayed.I hope that answers your question and I just didn’t confuse it.

I tracked down the bug, so this will be fixed in the soon to be released version 8.2.
