ParticipantI am hosting WordPress with GoDaddy and have the Connections plugin installed. I am using the Market template. When the plugin is activated I get random “Internal Server Error” pages when browsing around my site. When I de-activate the plugin the problem clears up. I have increased the PHP memory limit, but it still does it. Any help please…

KeymasterWhich version of PHP are your running? Can you attached a copy of your error logs so I can take look? Can you try activating Connections while deactivating all other plugins to see if the issue persists.

GuestFirst of all, I would like to thank you for responding so quickly! Anyway, I went ahead and disabled all the plugins that I was not using that came with my Gantry theme, and the error seemed to go away. I then re-enabled them one by one, but the error still does not happen anymore. I have attached the contents of one fo the log files anyway. I will keep you posted. Thanks for a great plugin.

GuestI do have another issue. When using the Market template, with the categories listed on the left, when I start clicking on Categories, intermittently I get a “no results” message, even though I know that there are people in that category. I then click on the category again, and the people show up. I have not found a pattern to easily duplicate this behavior.

KeymasterIf, you’re randomly clicking quickly … on every click you’re submitting a form submission so you could be seeing the results of a previous click without the latest click actually being submitted.

GuestI am able to reproduce the “no results” issue. It occurs when you start with the “view all categories” option. You then click on the next page of members at the top and go to page 2. Then when you click on another category on the left it always says “no results”. Then when you click on the category again it finds them. You can see it happen here:

Click the next set of members at the top, and then a catagory on the left and it happens.

KeymasterOk, I see. After clicking on another category after being on a page greater than 1 under the “All Categories” option doesn’t reset the page count if there isn’t a second page to display under the newly chosen category.
Does this also happen when you turn on pretty permalink support? You should have that on for better SEO.

GuestI can’t change the link structure because I have lots of things linking in from the outside and those will break. Can I modify the PHP code to make it reset to page 1 everytime a catagory is selected?

Keymaster@ Dennis
Actually I have to look into this deeper. There’s code in place to try and catch this. It’s not template issue.
Also, you could change the permalink. You’re just using the default setting. WP has a system in place called canonical redirect, it’ll figure out the correct URL, provide the 301 response and redirect to the correct link. Go ahead and give it a try for a few minutes … testing your links.

GuestIt still has the same problem, even with a different permalink scheme. Is there any other way to fix it?
