GuestHallo,
we have a Problem with the red balloon that marks the position in the GoogleMaps-part in CMap. The InternetExplorer version 8 shows it in a white box and only half of the balloon. This doesn’t happen, when you regard a google map in google maps. So we thought it could probably be something in CMap.
By the way, it works fine with other browsers, though Idon’t know about other IE versions.
Tried my best to find the problem in your forum already, but couldn’t find anything like this.
Would be nice, if you knew some help.
Thanks in advance.

Actually the issue is very likely being caused by the theme and a CSS setting that it only loads in IE8. The only why I’ll know for sure and give a possible solution is if you can share a link to your directory.

GuestHallo Steven,
thanks for the quick answer.
Here is the link: http://neu.asim-med.de/zentren – please click on “Stadtplan”
The thing is, that we bought your CMap and didn’t change anything there, exept may be for the odd colour or such. So it should be your original CSS.

I definitely believe the theme is the cause. On line 479 of the theme’s style.css file the background color of images are being set to white. Not knowing why the theme author made that decision, I do not recommend changing that, so we’ll override it only when a Google Map is shown within Connections. Add the following to the to the end of the theme’s style.css file:
.cn-gmap img { background-color: transparent; }
That should fix things up.

GuestDear Steven,
thanks very much again. The poroblem is fixed. We also had to do something with the position of the balloon but everything is fine now.
All the best, Christiane
