The description of the plugin states that it comes with several basic templates. In addition, several premium templates (such as Slim Plus) state that they are the more advanced versions of their free counterparts. Despite this, I am only seeing three free templates (Default, Names and Profile), and they are all basically useless. Do you no longer have other free templates?

Sorry about the confusion but there are no free counterparts. There never were. If you could let me know what was said that was confusing, I can correct it. Thanks.

How are they useless? They show the information of entries. Most use users the free templates to their great satisfaction. Some, purchase the premium templates because they like the visual presentation and/or enhanced features.

Have you clicked the Customize button for either the Default Entry Card or Profile templates? That allows you to visually configure the template such as what to display, the image settings, some colors and other advanced settings.

1) The wording is “Slim Plus offers all the same great features as the ever popular Slim template but adds a user searchable category drop down filter, keyword search and shows the directory using pagination.” Using the word “plus” automatically implies that it’s a more advanced version of Slim, which is a template that is not included in the premium template section. If Slim is not as advanced and not listed as a premium template, the logical assumption is that it is a free template.

2a) The only free template that shows the information I need (Name, Title, Phone, Email) is “Default,” and the layout is bulky and has a lot of weird arbitrary spacing that will take a lot of CSS to fix.

b) I’m not using images, so the customize button doesn’t do anything except change the border color and radius, turn on the character index, and choose which fields to include.

c) There doesn’t seem to be an option in Default to remove the hyperlink from each name. Can you please tell me how to do that? I cannot use the directory if the link can’t be removed.

Apologies for that errant sentence. It was missed being removed when retiring the more basic version. This oversight has been corrected. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

re: 2a & 2b)

If you set the image to none and disable the image placeholder as well as turning off the fields you are not using. That tightens thing up quite a bit though it may have a slight unbalanced look if you have lots of entry details. but that does not seem like it’ll be an issue since you are only showing a few details.

re: 2c

This is not a template level setting, this is a global setting. It can be turn off on the settings.. Disable the Name permalink option.
