I have just purchased excerpt plus, but am having a few problems. Firstly, the images seem to be cropped in exactly the same way no matter which option I select in Settings>Images. Secondly, clicking on the organisation name does not make the full entry open as new page. I thought this was the default for this template, am I wrong or have I just done something silly? Lastly, what is this in the images below, and how can I get rid of it?

There’s a FAQ that give the details. Basically, those settings do not affect the images in Excerpt Plus because it dynamically creates an image of the correct size. That said, if you pre-crop the image and ensure it size ratio is the same before uploading it to an entry, you can ensure the results you want.

I did just update the FAQ to be a bit more specific walking thru two image size examples. I hope that helps. It is quite difficult to convey what needs to be done because it is a bit technical.

That is exactly how the template is designed to function, fade in the full bio text, but it can be configured to work the other way too. I could have sworn I had a FAQ for this too, but guess not. I’ll have to fix that after I finish this reply. To keep this short, use this shortcode:

That is very likely being caused by the theme… it overriding styles of elements that are hidden. I can give you a fix from looking at a screenshot, you’ll need to share a link of your directory with me.
