ParticipantSo is it possible to hyperlink the addresses to open into your mobile phones map for directions?
It would be very nice and quite easy to have the address hot like that, I tried using the mobile version the other day and it was a bit frustrating that I had to highlight & copy the address (which was hard since the text is tight together – this won’t be an issue if the addresses are hot, but did make things harder as a user)
Thank you!

Apologies for the delay in my reply!
Since address components can be made into active links (Connections : Settings under the Advanced tab in the Permalinks section) the entire address itself can not be made into a link. This is because links within links are invalid markup. Generally only the outer link will be recognized within the browser.
A possible would be displaying a button after the address to open in Google Maps. YOu can already see this in action … Navigate to your directory page and click on the show map link. Click the map pin. You will find a button for Get Directions. This open the address in Google Maps.
Would this solution be a workable one?

ParticipantOk I found the Permalinks section, as you mentioned it seems you can make all address components active links other than the street address it self.
But even if I did make it a clickable link, it seems it only takes you to a certain page I would designate, not open in maps.
I don’t know why when I’m on mobile and I hold an address on other website it bring it up in maps for me like normal, but this address doesn’t activate the maps for some reason.
I think adding a button below the address might be helpful, there have been many times I have been on the road & frustratingly trying to copy or get an address to open in maps.
So how would I add a button to do that?
Thanks for your help as always!

Correct, that is why I can not make the entire address a link (clickable) because it is invalid HTML. You can not have links within links.

Interesting … can you share a link and which device you are using? I’ve looked at random sites I could find that had an address or two and could not replicate such functionality. I can only do the copy/paste that I’ve always have done.

Unless you are very familiar with PHP, this would not be an easy task.

ParticipantHmm ok no I don’t know PHP. I appreciate the explanation.

I am interested in researching this at the very least. Knowing which site(s) and devices this works for you would be very helpful.
