ParticipantHi, could you help me to customize the layout of http://bit.ly/1KKa3ne ? – how can i remove “Other” above the country/location, but keep the info about the country/location visible? – how can I add a “Specialty:” under the company name? maybe I can add the info to “department” instead of a custom field and write “Specialty:” before each text I put in there? but how to I remove then the title “other” that will appear if I enable the department visibility? thanks,

re: How to customize directory layout
Connections and its templates are infinitely customizable… it really depends on how far and what you want to do.
re: how can i remove “Other” above the country/location, but keep the info about the country/location visible?
- Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button for the cMap template. The page will reload with a preview on the right and the Customizer on the left.
- Click the back arrow in the upper right of the Customizer.
- Now click the Advanced panel. When that opens, Add this,
%line1% %line2% %line3% %city% %state% %zipcode% %country%to the Address format option. - The results list view and the detail/profile view are configured separately.
- To configure the detail/profile view, click the name of the first entry in the preview.
- The preview will reload.
- Now, change the Address Format option again.
- Click the SAve and Publish Button and exit.

You have to options. You can use CSS to prefix the department field with the label or edit the templates’ PHP files;
card.phpandcard-single.phpto add the label. Those files can be found in this folder:
../wp-content/plugins/connections-cmap/re: but how to I remove then the title “other” that will appear if I enable the department visibility?
I’m sorry, but I am not sure what you’re asking. could you clarify?
