ParticipantHi
I renewed cMap recently.
What I want is to have 2 or 3 columns of Directory Listings on my Page.
What I have is one really wide Directory Listing which takes up the entire page from left to right. This seems like a lot of wasted space in the center of the page.
Is there a setting inside of cMap that I can change?
Or can you recommend another software of yours that will help me use cMap to achieve 2 or 3 columns on the page ?
Or do I need a new Template altogether ? I like cMap because of all of its options, but I would be willing to exchange that Template for one that works better.

Sorry but cMap is not designed for a columnar layout. The slide down content trays do not work well in such a layout. It causes page content to “jostle” around when opening a content tray because now the one entry take up more vertical space.
It sounds like you are using a theme which has a full page layout… If you share a link to your directory page, I’ll take a look. Perhaps a line or two of custom CSS to tweak the widget will help.
If you want a columnar layout you need one of the other templates cusch as Tile Plus, Gridder or Circled. Keep in mind, only cMap has the Template Customizer at this time. The other templates are configured using shortcode options covered on their respective doc pages.
Hope I have answered your question.

ParticipantHi Steven
I will test the Directory Code on both a Normal Page and on a Normal Post. Both will have Sidebars and may limit how wide the Directory Listing will display on my page.
Do you see using a Directory on either of those two options (Page or Post) as being more SEO optimized or less SEO optimized than the other ?
Thanks for your help !

I suggest using a page, not a post. WordPress handles them completely different and Connections has been optimized for use on a page. Using on posts is possible but will introduce some challenges and you’ll need a page anyway.
