ParticipantThere are some fields (such as IM, Anniversary etc) that I have hidden when folks create a new profile.
I updated the connections.form.php to do this.
All works well when a user is logged in to either create/modify their profile – those fields are hidden.
However, when I also hide fields within a category – such as in the Link section, I wish to hide the Target and Follow options (I am working with a very non-technical crowd – they have no idea what those mean) – as well as the Country field of the Address section. We have no need.
I can do this by modify the connections.form.php – This works well when a user is creating a NEW profile – the fields I don’t want to display are all hideen. However, when a users logs in to MODIFY their profile – I can so those field again.
I am using connections, connections link as well as the Market Template (though, I don’t think the market template matters in this case).

Right now, the only real real to do this is to remove those options from the
class.form.php
file. You would just have to mimic the changes you made to theconnections_form.php
file. The logic is very similar in structure.I hope that helps!

ParticipantMy apologies – I sent you the wrong way.
I did update the Class.form.php. (but wrote connections.form.php by mistake).
When I am creating a NEW profile, the fields that I removed are invisible. However, when I am MODIFYING an existing profile – those same fields are visible again.
I am referring to the Target and follow fields of the Link section in the profile.
Thanks!

Sorry, I’m confused…
The
class.form.php
contains the code that needs changed for both the Add/Edit Entry admin page as well as the The admin page Link adds. So making the changes once would affect all three. Could you add screen shots and the admin urls to a private reply so I can see where it is not showing and showing where it shouldn’t. Also, if you could paste the changes you made, between backticks [the key left the “1” in the keyboard], that would help. -
