ParticipantHi There,
My customer wishes to keep the suffix details on the main page but wants to hide them on the below page.
http://veedubbers.net/wordpress/
Is there a way I can do this?
Simon.

Sure with CSS. Add the following CSS to the end of the theme’s style.css file:
.widget_cnw_recent_added .honorific-suffix { display: none; }

Participanthey Steve,
Thanks for the quick reply. Will that remove it from every location across the site. I just want to remove it from the widget.

It’ll remove it from just the widget. It will not affect the template.

GuestI am sorry for being thick Steven but I cannot find style.css
in either
/veedubbers.net/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/excerpt
or I cannot find an excerpt folder in here
/veedubbers.net/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/connections/templates
Can you help please?

KeymasterThe file is here:
/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/excerpt/excerpt.css
However, you should add the CSS to the end of the theme’s style.css file as I mentioned.

ParticipantHi Steve,
Really sorry but please see attached file. I have copied this into the CSS file and saved it back to the server but nothing has changed.
I had given this a go before hence my question about file locations.
Please help!
:-)

KeymasterSorry, but this is not going to work in the excerpt.css file … Like I mentioned, you should really put this at the end of the theme’s style.css file.
/wordpress/wp-content/themes/empire/style.css
Why? The widget has no CSS of its own so there is no associated CSS file. I hope that helps.

ParticipantMy apologies but when you talk about themes I was presuming it was related to the connections theme not the wordpress theme.
Thanks for your help!

Ahhh, I understand now, sorry for the confusion. When I say template, I’m talking about about the templates for Connections and when I say theme, I mean the WordPress theme. Hope that helps.
