ParticipantIs there a shortcode that will hide the subcategories. This is what I am getting. However I just want to list each listing as a digest and not show all the top subcategories. Is there a taxonomy I am missing of some short code.
Thanks

ParticipantI think i found something in settings but it is either on or off. What I want to happen is two buttons.. 1 button shows just categories and the other button shows the entire list of all in the sub category. It seems now that I can only have one.
Thanks

On the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab do:
- Enable the “Display the categories above the results list?” option.
- Enable the “Display only the children categories of the parent category when viewing a category page? Disabling this option will display all categories, to the set depth, regardless of the current category being viewed.“
- Set Depth to
1
.
I think, if I understand correct, the result you want.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantThanks. I actually did a CSS display none to hide it. Is there a different way to do it. I added the setting as instructed however what I want is a URL that would display the top part as a way to enter the directory “View our Service Categories” and one that displays the bottom part. “View All Members”

Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Display tab. Disable the “* Display the categories above the results list?” option. Scroll down to the “Result List Actions” section and enable the “View All Categories*” option.
This will remove the display of the categories above the directory and add a link above it which allows the user to view a list of all categories. You can copy that links for your “View our Service Categories” URL and then copy the link for the Members page (grab it from the browser address bar) for your “View All Members” URL.
Hope this helps!
