ParticipantHello.
When I import its a mess. The First Name gets imported into the Title. And The Addresses are all mixed up also. Im not sure what I’m doing wrong but I’ve tried 3 times and the names and addresses don’t import correctly. The Emails doesn’t import also even though I have a Tab called Emails.
Im not sure what I should do. Please advise.

First, are you using the latest version of CSV Import?
Generally when an issue like this pops up the source of the issue is the CSV file itself. Can you please attach it, as a private reply, and I’ll take a look at it?

The file is not a valid CSV file. The first row should be the column headers. In the file that was attached has membership roster with a date.
Remove that first row, make sure the column headers are the first row. I would also suggest deleting columns you are not going to import. That’ll speed up the process because there would be less to parse during the import process.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHello Steven. Removing that first row worked! It imported perfectly. Thank you very much for your help!
Here are my other questions:
- What if I wanted to add another column like Membership? With this column I would like it either show both a date or a label like “LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP.” How will I import a column like that?
- I also would like to include Bio and a Facebook link. Would that be possible or would it be easier to add that in manually?
Thanks,
Virgil

Add a Bio column to your CSV file and add a bio to each row in the CSV that you wish to import. When mapping the CSV file during the CSV import map your Bio column to the Bio field in Connections.
The same can be done for a Facebook link. Add the link to your CSV file and map it to the Social Media Facebook option when importing.
Hope this helps!
