ParticipantHi Steven,
I an having an issue which is causing some concern as I cannot figure out where the error lies. Essentially any google search result when clicked returns a 404 error . I have allowed Google to index the whole site and used Xenu link sleuth which indicates all is well. The following content hopefully will help to explain. I hope that you can give me some guidance.Site is https://infoshield.co.ukSimple search on home page “Bellmans” returns the basic setting window = https://infoshield.co.uk/simple-search/?cn-s=bellmans
Select listing reurns detail window = https://infoshield.co.uk/simple-search/name/bellmans-auctioneers-and-valuers/Select Category “Auctioneers” from the “Searches” page which displays paginated result for whole category. Bellmans in search box returns =https://infoshield.co.uk/auctioneers/?cn-s=bellmans
Select listing result = https://infoshield.co.uk/auctioneers/name/bellmans-auctioneers-and-valuers/Follow “Advanced Search” link then enter Bellmans into Name/Keyword field returns = https://infoshield.co.uk/simple-search/?cn-cat=0&cn-district=0&cn-county=0&cn-zipcode=&cn-radius=5.1&cn-latitude=&cn-longitude=&cn-near-coord=&cn-unit=mi&cn-s=Bellmans
Select listing returns = https://infoshield.co.uk/simple-search/name/bellmans-auctioneers-and-valuers/
Any appropriate combination of entries in Advanced Search return correct resultsGoogle search using parameter “Bellmans Infoshield” gives two results (See screen shot attached)

Keymaster@ Richard
It appears you may have changed the page hierarchy which no longer reflect the current Google index. As Google updates its index those links will be updated to be correct.
That said… you really should reconsider the structure of all these searches… each one should resolve to a canonical directory. Choose a single page to embed your directory on, then use either the force_home or home_id shortcode options so all links will resolve to that single directory instance.
For the “category” searches you should build the links so the resolve to the canonical directory. An example link would be: https://infoshield.co.uk/simple-search/cat/auctioneers/
Using such a link will use the internal Connections permalinks to filter by category.
Hope this helps!
