Ok, thanks for the access… I figured it out. The referred needed to be set to
http://nurseryguideonline.com.au/*
.I would have thought the referrer I suggested would worked because it did for me during testing, but my config is a bit different so that could be why it didn’t work for you.
Apologies for the trouble! I think I’ll need to set down and write a fairly detailed tutorial because I imagine this will trip up a lot of people.
I wonder how the WP world is going to be come Oct when Google requires all sites to use a key. All those theme’s and other plugins that are no longer supported or barely supported which utilize Google maps are just going to stop working with no obvious reason why. That’s going to leave lots of upset end users with just about all with no clue on how to actually fix it even if they figure out why.

ParticipantI see the refferer and your comments, so I scampered off to google to play in the console.
I had already verified te site through ISP verification.
I had enabled a couple of map APIs , not sure which one you want, GEOcode I assume.
Then I put in the exaxt url they had in the error as my allowd site. Now I atleast get the OOPS page instead of a blank,
Let me see if I can get the right config now.07/05/2016 at 9:24 pm #381700Raymond Dunegan

ParticipantReally couldn’t find referrer entry, until I pasted the keys on my reply above.
I went to get fresh ones and found it in the process of generating new key.
I set up as you instructed brett, and all is good.but yes, this is gonna f alot of folks up.
may want to sticky this one.07/05/2016 at 10:39 pm #381703Steven Zahm
Keymaster@ Raymond
Great to hear you got it working too!
The APIs that are needed are at least the JavaScript API and the Geocoding API. I’m not 100% certain if the Geolocation API is needed or not yet. I still need to test further.

KeymasterJust as a followup for anyone else who may read this thread… I now have a tutorial posted with step by step instructions on how to get and setup the API and the required keys.
