    Hi Steven

    Is it possible to globally replace some text in the database?
    I have standard links for users which is in the format:
    https://app.website.xx.xx
    but I need to change it to:
    https://website.xx.xx

    Appreciate some advice if this could be done.

    Sure you could do a text replacement on the url column in the {wpdb-prefix}_connections_link table.

    The problem is that data is also cached in the primary “{wpdb-prefix}_connectionstable in thelinks` column. Since that data is serialized it becomes far more difficult to bulk update. You would have to right a custom PHP function to iterate over each and apply the update.

    Another option would be hook into the cn_link filter. The passed value is an array where the address is in the url key. You could check the the existence of the address you need to change and if it exists, apply the change. This does not affect the actual data in the database so it would be more of a band-aid than a fix.
