ParticipantGday Steve,
thanks for the previous tip to updgrage.
I have successfully updated connections and forms and now they are installed on my website
My requirement is to make a front end form that allows users to be able to join the professional network shown here
http://www.amsn.com.au/professional-network/
As you can see on this page you gave me a nice little piece of code to only show the professional network categories.
[connections_form category='1' enable_category_by_root_parent=true]I have currently put the form short code here
http://www.amsn.com.au/brentstest/
As you can see all the categories appear such as restaurants, accommodation etc
So my question is what short code is required to only allow Catagory 1 (professional network) show up on the front end form page ?
thanks again for all your help so far you really are great :)

Sorry, but presently there is not a way to do this. The shortcode options you’re adding are for several of the premium templates, not Form. This feature is on my to do list. It has to wait to be implemented because I’m currently rewriting the the core taxonomy code in Connections to be far more flexible.
Until then the best way is to use CSS to hide it. It is not an elegant solution and actually can be quite tedious depending on how often you expect to be adding categories…
This CSS statement should hide all category choices:
#cn-form li.active-result { display: none; }Now you need to selectively unhide the choices you want to be visible. This will unhide the “Professional Network” choice:
#cn-form li.active-result:nth-child(n+8):nth-child(-n+16) { display: block; }Anytime you add/remove a category, you’ll have to tweak the
8and16. Hope that helps!-
