    I have read many reviews and it seems that Connections is the best option for my Homeowner’s Association directory, but I cannot find any basic information or instructions on how to use it — that works. Many links just loop around. Others just take me to where I can buy things. I have the Connection plug in installed (0.7.6.4) along with finally getting the Slim template plug in. What is the difference between Connections and Connections-Pro? I do not have a “Help” page where all the short codes are supposedly listed. Documentation refers to the Connections administration which I cannot find. How do upgrades happen? When I click on the link it looks like I have to buy the upgrade. I am so confused and frustrated!

    Here’s the link to the QuickStart. Without more specifics, not sure what else to link you to.

    There is no difference between Connections and Connections Pro. Actually, Connections Pro does not exist; which is why you will never find a reference by my to it. Although, users will refer to Connections Pro from time to time. connections-pro.com on the other hand, is just the domain name for this site. Unfortunately getting just connections.com will never happen. I have considered registering connections-business-directory.com, but that is just too long even if it would be a little better in SEO terms.

    Not sure which “Help” page you might be referring to, but here’s the link to the shortcode options. This can be found under the Support : Documentation menu up in the main navigation on the top right of this page. Another place you can find the link is the “Documentation” button on the top of the home page. It’s off to the right where it says “Documents”.

    The Connections admin page can be found in the admin section of WordPress. It’ll be towards the bottom left of the menu items. Depending if you have the admin menu collapsed or not … it will either say “Connections” or just be an icon that looks like the “C” in the logo at the top left of this page.

    Can you explain more as to what you want to know about “How upgrades happen?”.

    Which link are you clicking on that make it appear you have to “buy the upgrade”?
