ParticipantThe form that I created for people to create their listing does not match the form that shows up in the admin part “Your Directory Entry.” How do I get those to be the same?
Thanks!

What do you mean by the “form that I created”?

ParticipantThe form using the code:
[connections_form logo='true' photo='true' notes='true']The one that you see outside the Admin area.

The shortcode you’re using pretty much does it. Is there something more specific?

GuestThat form isn’t the problem. You asked what form so I was explaining the form. That form and the one under “Your Directory Entry” in the WP Admin do not match. There are different fields. How do I get them to have the same fields?

GuestSorry, I’m trying to explain it but I don’t think I’m doing a very good job of it!

Can you take screen shots, login, and attach them to a reply?

ParticipantHere you go. I didn’t take a capture of the entire form but a couple of things to note: There should not be a “Dates” field and the Category field doesn’t show up at all in the WP Admin screen. I hope this helps. If you need something else, just let me know!
Thanks so much for your help :-)

KeymasterRight now, Form does not have a “Dates” metabox but it does have a metabox to allow the input of the Anniversary and Birthday. That metabox is off by default, but can be turned on.
In the admin, the Date metabox, you collapsed it. If you hover your mouse on the right hand side of the bar that says “Dates” you can click to toggle it to open. This is a common feature for all properly coded WordPress metaboxes. Just incase you run into this somewhere else in the WordPress admin.
Also in the admin, the category metabox has a different look and function. By default it shows on the right hand side in a second narrow column. Since the admin organization in completely customizable it’s hard to say where it might be presently; but if you do not see it at all, in the upper right corner there is a “Screen Options” tab. Click that and see if the Category metabox was toggled off. This too is a standard WordPress admin feature that many plugins utilize. So if you ever can not locate something that should be on the screen, check there first.
I hope that helps.

ParticipantSorry, I knew that about the categories. But I didn’t realize you could adjust the fields in the Admin by using screen options. That solves my problem. Thank you!
