I have created custom fields for a listing – and am needing these fields to show in the online public Connections Form for members to sign up. I am unclear how to get the custom fields to display on the initial input Connections form.
I also saw that there was a potential for gravity forms connecting into Connections – I saw on the forum you posted in 2015 a potential solution. If I can’t show my custom fields on the public facing connections FORM, that would be another option to solve this.
Any tips or direction to the right documentation would be greatly appreciated.

I guess my first question is how did you add the custom fields?
There are “Custom Fields” and “custom fields”. The nomenclature confusion originates with WordPress.
There is a “Custom Fields” metabox on the add/edit entry admin form. This metabox is not available in Connections Form because this is an admin type of feature.
Now, you can register “custom fields” with Connections and these will automagically be available in Form. Here’s a tutorial on how to register a text custom field.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Thank you Steve! I got that to work using your tutorial.
