Looks like WordPress failed to completely update Connections. You’ll have to delete and reinsitall it. You data is safe.
Hope this helps! Let me know.

ParticipantI didn’t see this before I tried it again. I got the same ‘down for maintenance’ message. Then, it seems to have updated and returned to normal. It causes me great distress when the site went down. I’ve never had issues with your plugin before.
Thank you.03/27/2018 at 10:19 am #456833Steven Zahm

RE: I got the same ‘down for maintenance’ message.
That is the message WordPress puts up while it is updating a theme, plugin or itself.
RE: Then, it seems to have updated and returned to normal.
This sounds as like WordPress detected the issue and installed the backup of the previous version. It makes this backup before installing a new version of a plugin. I suspect you still see the notice to upgrade Connections, correct?

Oh, I wanted to add, this is not an issue with Connections, but the update process with WordPress. I suspect you might be exhausting the resources allocated to PHP. Check the PHP memory limit and increase it if needed. I recommend at least 128MB for a WordPress installation. Also check the PHP execution limit. I recommend 300. Here’s a link to a tutorial on how to increase the PHP execution limit.
Hope this helps, let me know.
