ParticipantHi,
I see this topic on how to add snippet to import custom fields.
http://connections-pro.com/2015/03/19/quicktip-csv-import-custom-meta-fields/Is there a way in the Export area to export any custom fields we’ve added through snippets? I tried the Export All option but no custom fields were included.
Just curious how easy this may be to set-up, not super sure we want to do this.

In theory, yes, filters and actions could be added to support the export of the custom meta fields. I have not tried this yet so code tweaks might be necessary in order to ensure support.
Let me know if this is something you decide to pursue.
Hope that answers your question!
ps. I’ll be in touch via email about the CSV import of your meta in regards to the our other ongoing project shortly.

ParticipantHi,
Just spoke with client on AAPPN project and they do want to have the custom fields we added via snippets to be included in the Export All csv file. These are the current custom fields they want added to export.
- work setting
- county
- special interest group
- chapter
- do you accept insurance
- ANCC certification
Will this be possible?
Thank you.07/07/2016 at 11:06 am #381871Steven Zahm

re: Will this be possible?
In theory, yes. I’d have to extend the export to support metadata and then the custom extension I created for you would have to be updated to registered the fields to be exported.
What about importing?

ParticipantYes they would like to be able to import these 4 fields
- work setting
- special interest group
- chapter
- ANCC certification
They do not want to import County and Do you accept insurance. I see your how-to guide on adding custom fields to csv but could I hire you to write these snippets, I think that would be much faster.
Please track your time for these items and add to my invoice.
