I third this request. Looking to see if it could be available for the front end as well. For instance, if someone visits the directory, there would be a button or link to download all the contacts into a CSV/XLS file.

Fourth. This needs to happen. I am in the same boat as Karim- it never even occurred to me that this option wouldn’t exist, now I am stuck without it. There’s a good chance I am going to hire someone just to collect the data from my site and manually create a csv.
I hired out to get this functionality. I currently have a blog running a connections export plugin. It does exactly what I need. It works up to the current version, but I wish there was an official plugin.
Here’s the file. I make no claims to the code, use it freely and do whatever you’d like with it. Imagine that there’s a gpl attached to it, and act accordingly.
