I am using multiple shortcodes to list department faculty by position: Dept. Chair; Faculty; Adjuncts; Staff. The department chair is also a faculty member. I am currently using:
[connections category_in='4,30' enable_search='false' enable_category_select='false' str_work_phone='Phone' str_home_phone='Phone' str_work_fax='Fax' str_personal_email='Email' str_work_email='Email']
[connections category_in='4,18' exclude_category='30' enable_search='false' enable_category_select='false' str_work_phone='Phone' str_home_phone='Phone' str_work_fax='Fax' str_personal_email='Email' str_work_email='Email']
“4” is the department; “30” is chairs; “18” is faculty. The chair is not being excluded in the second list. Is there a way to do that?
Sorry, no. The
category_in option seems to, presently, take priority. I have just made changes to the
exclude_category logic to ensure that this will work. If you can give me a temp admin login, I can login and apply the hotfix to your install of Connections. Login details can be posted here as a private reply … but please follow up with a non-private reply otherwise I will not be notified of your private reply … hope that makes sense!
