    I have the Connections Version 0.7.9.5 and the cMap template. I can’t seem to get the exclude category shortcode to work

    Go to the page where you entered the [connections] shortcode, switch the post editor to the Text tab and copy paste the exact shortcode here. Thanks.

    This is the shortcode I’m trying to use to exclude category 8-
    [connections exclude_category='8']

    Well, that definitely looks right. I forgot to ask, which version of the cMap template do you have installed? You need to be on version 3.1. If you are, then’ll I’ll need a temp admin account to take a closer look as to why this would not be working. Speaking of, could you define “not working” better for me?

    cMap is 3.1
    On the Members Directory page, using this short code- [connections exclude_category='8']

    The results of this code on that website page are-
    1. Category 8 doesn’t show in the menu, but does still show in the results section.
    2. Category 8 is Named- Board Members
    3. When looking at the Members Directory page all of the individuals showing on that page are in the Board Members category.
    4. I do not want the Board Members showing on that page, I have another page for them.

    Send me a regular email that I can reply to and I will send you your log on info.
