ParticipantHi–I’ve just updated to the newest version of Connections; I have Market installed (3/9/13 download). Do I need to somehow update that template to get “exclude” to work?
I want to list Allied members on one page (http://aiaeb.org/about/allied-member-directory) and Firm Members on another (http://aiaeb.org/find-an-architect/member-firms/).
As I understand it I need to excluded Allied member categories from Firms, and vice versa.
True?

The market template hasn’t been updated to supplied the exclude option as of yet. I can’t see your directory, it’s blocked by the firewall for some reason, but it sounds like you can use this option instead. The FAQ is for cMap, but the same method will work with Market too.
Does that helps?

ParticipantThanks. Doing that worked great here:
http://aiaeb.org/find-an-architect/member-firm-directory/But not here:
http://aiaeb.org/about/allied-member-directory/I made two parent categories (Allied Members and Member Firms), and I don’t want Member Firms to show under categories on the Allied Member Directory.
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks in advance,

If you were copy/pasting, especial from a website, I recommend deleting the shortcode and manually type it in with the options. Copy/pasting into the WP post editor will also past HTML tags and fancy quotes which breaks the WP shortcode parser. Basically it’ll not be able to correctly identify the options set.
I also highly recommend updating the Market template to version 3.0.x. It is a free update that can be downloaded via your Purchase History. Be sure to carefully follow the new installation/update instructions as the method used to install templates has changed.
