There’s probably a simple explanation for this but I can’t find it. I’m getting an Error: Template not found message when I navigate to an individual listing within the directory. Example is http://acenights.com.au/partyhire/name/gossip-box
I don’t believe I’ve changed any code or settings since I installed cMap so I’m not sure why it’s occurring. I’ve just updated Connections but Google Search Console first detected the problem a couple of weeks ago so that can’t be it. Any thoughts??
What is the exact shortcode you are using on the page?
If you have the Single Template option enabled on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab, disable it.
No, the Google Search Console would not be the cause, but, just maybe, that could be the reason the soft 404’s are being reported. It could be that Google is interpreting the error template not found message and a page not found message.
Hope that helps, let me know.
That was it, I had the single template option enabled, I knew it would be something simple.
Cheers for that
Great to hear that fixed it for you!
