Hello! Anyone there?Plugin Authorshazahm1 (@shazahm1hotmailcom)

@cassyputThe only reason I can think that you would see the access denied error from WordPress (not Connections) is that another plugin has removed the required custom capabilities for Connections … or … you are not supposed to have access. Are you the admin? if you are not, please contact the site’s admin. If you are, please see this FAQ:
https://connections-pro.com/faqs/s2member/
It is for s2Member but the instructions still apply in regards to restoring the require capabilities.
Let me know how it goes.

That completely broke the whole dashboard:This page isn’t working
http://www.combedown.org is currently unable to handle this request.

@cassyputThe only reason the snippet would cause the admin not to load is if it were not copied in its entirety. Perhaps you accidentally missed the copying the closing paren or something.
Code Snippets has a “safe mode” which can be enable in these cases. Unfortunately with the new wp.org plugin directory pages I can not link directly to their FAQ.
– Go to their page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
– Scroll down to the FAQ section.
– Read the “Help! I just activated a snippet, and my whole site broke!” faq.Basically, enable the Code Snippets safe mode, edit the code snippet you added making sure it matches exactly as shown in our FAQ and save it. Then disable the safe mode. Finally activate and deactivate the code snippet.

RE: Nowt works at all presently
So you are good to go? If not and the issue still exists, what I’ll need is a temp admin login and and FTP login. The details can be posted here as a private reply. I’m not permitted to ask for those type of details on the wp.org support forums which is why I asked you to post here. Apologies for the trouble! We’ll get this sorted very quickly now.

The issue was not Connections … you need to adjust the settings in Plugin Organizer. You are basically locking yourself out.
I did the update required by Connections by deactivating Plugin Organizer, apply the update and then reactivated it.
As for the directory page displaying the shortcode instead of the directory. That was caused by an old cached version of the page being served instead of a version where Connections was active. Clearing the cache for the directory page corrected that.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Steven,
Wow, thanks. That’s what I call service!! :)
I’d actually deactivated all plugins and checked but I guess I missed that. I’ve deleted that plugin, don’t really need it.
Thanks again.
Richard
