    After upgrading to 8.5.5 and WordPress 4.4 when I attempt to add a new entry it fails and I receive a “ERROR: Entry could not be added.”

    This happens on both the live site and a test site.

    Prior to upgrading to 8.5.5 (on the most previous version) I was also having a problem adding an entry, however it would not give an error, but post the entry incorrectly (in the “name” field it had replaced it with “Connection” and all other data fields were blank).

    Otherwise the existing entries and functionality seems find.

    Thanks in advance, let me know if you need more information. It looks like 40 minutes ago there was a similar report in this forum.

    WordPress altered a way it handled a specific value when inserting data into the database. I have to release an update to take that change into account. I plan on releasing it later today. Apologies for the trouble!
