GuestI am having the same issue as posted at http://connections-pro.com/support/topic/keep-getting-this-error-could-not-insert-term-into-the-database-why/
I just installed the free version and if I try adding a category I get the message “ERROR: Could not insert term into the database”.
It also won’t allow me to add a regular entry, I get the message “ERROR: Entry could not be added.”
I am using network setup
Let me know if I should send you access to my wordpress as you offered in the other post. Thanks!11/28/2016 at 9:36 am #401556Steven Zahm

Quick question, have installed Connections on a subsite of a WordPress Multisite install? And if you did, did you network install Connections. If you did, deactivate the network activation and then active Connections only on the subsites you wish to use Connections on.
Hope that helps, let me know.

GuestThat worked. Thanks!
Would I be able to activate it for more than one subsite under the network, or will that cause an issue?

Keymaster@ Mike
Yes, you can activate for as many subsite as you wish. Each directory will be its own instance, just like the site itself.
Hope that helps!
ps. if you wish to share all entries across all subsites which has Connections activated, that is possible too. If that is what you wish to do, let me know and I can give you instructions.

ParticipantThanks.
I am not looking to share entries, just looking to activate it on 2 subsites (but its good to know I can!)
Thanks for your help, I just installed it and so far it looks like a great plugin!11/28/2016 at 11:11 am #401595Steven Zahm

So you know, after you have two (or more) directories on separate subsites, you can no longer share. Basically you are limited to sharing or not, but it must be decided before hand.
