GuestHi,
I’m Using Connections plugin to create staff list at my science lab website and I’ve faced two problems.
First one occurs due to characters encoding (imho). I mean for for the slug of an Russian-named entry I have phdstudents/name/%25d0%25b0%25d0%25bb%25d0%25b5%25d0%25ba%25d1%2581%25d0%25b0%25d0%25bd%25d0%25b4%25d1%2580-%25d0%25b4%25d0%25b7%25d1%2583%25d0%25b1%25d0%25b0%25d0%25bd/ instead of phdstudents/name/’name in russian’. Are there any ways to change entry slug or character encoding? The rest information in profiles is displayed correctly.
Second problem is in inability to find any connection via search engine (i.e. Google). I’m using Google XML Sitemaps plugin to help index my site but there is no any effect :'( What can I do else?11/29/2013 at 9:54 am #274481Steven Zahm

What version of Connections do you have installed? One of the versions there was an encoding bug which has since been corrected. If you have the latest installed, can you give me a few names that I can test with so I can track down the issue?
Search, again, which version do you have installed? If you have he latest version installed, do you have all the option enabled on the Connections : Settings admin page under the SEO tab?

You can see and take any names on that page of my website – http://td.chem.msu.ru/people/phdstudents/Under the SEO tab of Connection Settings I have all the options enabled – Page Meta (page title & pade description) and Page Display (page title)

Just following thru on some older issues … I wanted to let you know the entry slug encoding issue has been resolved and ‘ve also confirmed that Google does indeed index the individual pages within Connections.
