I actually have raised this issue before but was unable to use your answer right away because of a business commitment. However I followed the advice and used the Say What plugin to try and change the address field label “zipcode” to “postcode” unfortunately with no success. I also paid attention to the warning about certain templates. I am using Cmap but could not find any shortcode addition that would allow me to make the necessary changes. I would be grateful for any assistance as my directory entries will be editable by the entry owner. Unfortunately many people in the uk will not recognise the term zipcode as postcode is our generic label and has become very important with proving identity in the UK and may be required as a search term.

Using Say What? to change the label from Zipcode to Postcode does indeed work. I’ve used that method myself in custom work.
What are the settings you used on the Text Changes settings admin page, exactly?03/19/2018 at 8:23 am #455873Richard MitchellGuest
I have tried practically every form of entry that I could think of with no luck. As you have carried out this specific action yourself could you please give me exactly what you would expect to enter to the four fields that are presented when Add New is selected. I am sorry for my apparent inability here but this is a new area for me.

Hmmm… there is only one form to enter, only one that will work … if I understand what you’re saying.

Sure, it will not differ from the tutorial though…
Text contextis blank
And save. Hope that helps!03/19/2018 at 3:25 pm #455929Richard MitchellGuest
Thanks for your reply. Worked like a charm although I am sure that I tried it myself except I would have used all lower case letters and used postcode not postal code.
I am now going to start another ticket about something else.

The spelling and capitalization of the original string and text domain is what is important. An error in those fields there will not be a match inorder order to apply replacement string. They have to match exactly.
Hope that helps!
