ParticipantHi,
I’ve been trying to set the “Organization” name to become a link (under advance settings) and have the organization to show on a separate page. Do I have to do anything else?Attachments:

That’s all it should take… by change are the entries which do not have links, are they the “Organization” entry type? If they are, you also need to enable the “Name” link option because for organization entry type the org name is the name, not the organization. The Organization option for links is for the Individual entry type who had an org added to their details.
I hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Steven,
I have enabled the name as well. However, I still do not see a link. I have cleared the cache on my browser as well as on the server to no avail. Is there anywhere else I need to check?
Thanks,

Which template and version are you using? Older versions of the templates were not able to support the name linking feature, so maybe you’re using one of those?

ParticipantI am using cMap 2.1.

That’s definitely not a compatible version of the template for this feature, you’ll need to update it.

ParticipantAfter re-installing the templates, now the link is working. However, instead of making the link to show the organization name, it shows the individual’s name. See below:
It shows http://jimclickbpn.com/business-connections/name/moses-perez/instead of
http://jimclickbpn.com/business-connections/organization/9queens/
is there a way to change this?

It looks as if the entry was created as an Individual with the name of Moses Perez and then changed to an Organization so the slug for that entry,
moses-perez
will forever bemoses-perez
as there is not yet a way to edit an entry slug. You would have to create a new entry as an Organization with the name of 9Queens for the entry slug to be correct. After you do, the URL will be:domain.tld/direct-home-page/
name
/slugIf all your entries are only ever going to organizations, you could change the Name permalink base from
name
toorganization
but you would also have to change thename
permalink base to something else, like maybeindividual
so the two would not conflict.Hope that helps!
