I am using S2Member with Connections. When a user is logged in with a custom level he Connections directories return “No Results.” When I’m logged in as admin it works and when the user is not logged in the directories in the public area of the site work.
Help, I have to give a demo of the site next Saturday!
Go to the Connections : Roles admin page and give the custom role View Public (and/or View Private) permissions.
That should do it.
There is no option for “View Public” and I do have View Private and View Unlisted checked.
Ok, I understand now … s2Member has a very nasty habit of destroying custom capabilities on its updates.
Add a check to the “Reset All Role Capabilities”” option of the Connections : Roles admin page and click Update.
After the page resets, re-apply the permissions on the custom role.
Great to hear this resolved the issue!
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!
