My directory at http://www.rydebusiness.com.au/directory has stopped displaying – see the message I get in the image below.
I thought it may have been because Connections was out of date so I updated that via Plugins today and I downloaded and installed the latest version of CMap. I still have the issue. I haven’t installed any other plugins recently which could have caused the issue.
I’m running WP 4.4.2. Any help would be much appreciated.
The cause seems to be an invalid shortcode. WordPress has tightened the security of shortcodes in recent updates. This made previous invalid but working shortcodes not work. Looking at your page I see the shortcode has both non-breaking spaces and uses fancy quotes. Neither of these are supported by the WordPress shortcode parser.
I suggest reading this shortcode basics doc. After you do, edit the page, delete the shortcode and then manually retype the shortcode while in the Text tab of the WordPress posts editor.
Hope that helps, let me know.
Thanks, Steven. Retyping it manually did the trick and my connections now displays again.
