GuestHi, I’ve loaded 35 entries into the listings, designated a page and place shortcode [connections] into text/html box on WordPress (Lovecraft theme). I’m operating in WordPress 4.5(most recent update) and I’ve had my php memory increased as of today.
When I click on page the directory does not show up but rather an Internal server error 500. I’ve contacted hosting company and it is not a problem on the server side per error log.
I’m reaching out to you for help as to remedy this problem as I would really like to be able to use your product.
Please advise. (Also, this is my 3rd attempt at trying to get a response to my inquiry.} Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I want to upgrade features and templates but I’m afraid I’m going to pay for something that isn’t going to work.
Thanks in advance!

I responded back each time…

Please try my suggestions from both of the replies and let me know the results. Thanks.

GuestCompleted both actions as you recommended and the problem still exist.
Directory does not show up on assigned page. I get an internal error message 500 which you know is just a general code.
Any other suggestions? I’m stumped.

re: Contacted host and they increased memory but said that was not the issue. Said that there was an error code reflecting that somewhere there was a disconnect in the site and the plugin it seemed.
Perhaps they can give you the exact error code. That would be helpful. You should have access to the PHP error log. Can you let me know what errors are reported in the error log? If you do not know where this log is, you will have to ask your host since every host is different.
re: Yes, I have been adding with images. I found that in this process some of the images were causing the error code. I fixed the images and they were accepted.
Hmmm… this make me lean even more to this being a PHP memory issue.
To dig into this deeper and get this resolved quicker, I’ll need a temp WP admin account and a FTP login. The details can be posted here as a private reply. I’m certain after I have the logins I can narrow down and resolve the issue fairly quickly.
re: Also, sorry I could not find your responses and did not receive an email notification that you had responded.
No problem. It happens from time to time. Did you by chance uncheck the option to receive email notices of replies? If not, perhaps the are being filtered into your spam folder. Is the email address you gave an activate account? I see it is actually registered to quite a few domains so I am guessing it is but I thought I’d ask to cover all the bases.

GuestSteven, the error log reports a problem with anniversary dates. I removed all anniversary dates based on a debug log that I ran. I also went in a removed all images and reduced sizes as log as I could. I can send the error log to you. Would you like me to do so?
I thought just as you that the problem may have been with the images because that’s when things seems to go a little nutty. However, I took to separate actions today to remedy the problem and I’m not really sure which one fixed the issue. 1. I removed all anniversary dates. Then I removed 1 logo. I then went an removed all images and slowly started added them back as much smaller files eventhough my PHP memory was increased. I checked all images files and I come in under 2 MB.

Yes, I would love to see the error log. I can’t image what would be wrong with the anniversary dates. Something like that would have effected for more many sites than just yours. Contact me using the contact link at the very bottom of the site. After I reply, you will be able send me the error log.
