ParticipantHey Steve,
I just realized that there was a cmap 4.0 (something shiny) :) so of course I immediately updated (delete, reinstall, etc). However, now on one site, the cmap template is no where to be found. I had the default template active, looking to reactivate the cmap (4.0), but its listed nowhere.
This site in question is running WordPress 4.0beta2, Connections 0.8.13, and cmap (or at least it was) :)
Interestingly, I did the exact same thing on another site that is still running wp 3.9.1, (with 0.8.13 and now with cmap 4.0) and had no problems. cmap 4.0 is there and now active.
Is it a WP 4.0b2 issue, or an I did something wrong issue, or some combination thereof?
Thanks for any guidance.

WordPress 4.0 is such a minor update, I’d be surprised if that is the issue at all … I haven’t tested against the beta yet though. I’m planning on doing that after I release bug fix 0.8.14 (fixes some obscure bugs and greatly improve the responsive readiness of the admin add/edit form.
When you say not listed anywhere, where exactly do you mean? The Plugins page, the Connections : Templates page?

ParticipantI agree on wp 4.0, I can’t imagine why it would have mattered, but at first, it was all I could come up with. The one site has 3.9.1 and updated cmap fine.
I have deactivated all of the other plugins, deactivated and reactivated cmap and cleared my cache. Here’s what happens:
There seems to be a conflict with Plugin Organizer (which is a great plugin, btw). If I have them both active, no cmap template, if I then deactivate PO, still no template, but if I then deactivate cmap, and then reactivate cmap, the template appears. If I then activate the cmap template as ‘current’ in Connx settings, once I reactivate PO, the cmap template disappears from connx/settings.
None of these conflicts existed with wp 3.9.1 / Connections 0.8.13 and cmap 3.1. Once I updated both wp AND cmap to 4.0, the fun began.
I downgraded the offending site to have cmap 3.1 again, still with wp 4.0 and PO activated, and everything works fine.
cmap 4.0 and Plugin Organizer do not seem to be playing nice together…
I could have totally missed something else though, please let me know if you need me to try and break anything.

It must be something with with your configuration of PO. I installed PO using the default config and I was able to activate/deactivate cMap with no problems. The plugin folder has changed from
cmap
toconnections-cmap
. So, perhaps, if you have a plugin filter setup with the older cMap it would not work with the new cMap.07/21/2014 at 1:20 pm #297668Mitch
Participantwow. this one has me batty. I:
deleted all plugin filters
removed connx plugin groups from PO
removed plugin custom sort PO
reset to default load order
Basically, this ‘should’ have reset it to default…Then I:
deleted cmap 3.1
added cmap 4.0Still, no cmap in templates options. I also tried to place template=’cmap’ in shortcode, no bueno.
But I can see cmap plugin in ftp.
So I completely deleted PO, reinstalled, and now it seems to work. Go figure.
I tenuously move forward… I’ll let you know if something changes.
Thanks for taking a look at it. Have a great day.

Really weird indeed … I’m sticking with the folder name change as my main theory. PO must keep a setting/option stored in a manner that is not purged until it is deleted.
