ParticipantAs of yesterday, the Connections plugin and Slim Plus Template were working fine. This morning, I ran the Connections update then purchased and added/activated the Form, Link, and Login Extensions. When I tried to delete an existing entry, I received “Fatal error: Undefined class constant ‘SKIP_DOTS’ in /home/nawbohou/public_html?wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.filesystem.php on line 245”
I am using the Avada theme v3.5.3 on the website http://nawbohouston.org.
Thank you for your help

What PHP version your web host has installed? The
SKIP_DOTS
wasn’t available until PHP 5.3. That leads me to believe that it is 5.2.x. The right thing to do would be for you to request your host to update your server to a newer (and supported, PHP 5.2 is no longer supported by its maintainers) version of PHP. I understand that may not be possible … if you can give me a temp admin account I can try applying a hotfix that should allow you to delete. If the hotfix resolves the issue for you, I would very likely roll the hotfix into an update.re: Etc
What is the etc part … it kind of implies there are other issues? I visited the site and Slim Plus seems to working fine.09/03/2014 at 1:21 pm #302675Laura Lloyd
ParticipantThis is a website that was left untouched for the past 5 years. You are correct about the PHP. The site is running on PHP 5.2.17. SiteGround’s fix seems straight-forward, so I will backup the site/database and try their upgrade.
I apologize about the “Etc.”. When I was typing my initial request, Slim Plus wasn’t showing up at all. After a few minutes, it showed up fine. When I last left the site, the links “Submit New Entry” and “Add My Directory Entry” weren’t displaying. I think the Avada theme is creating a lot of glitches; it is a monster.

ParticipantThank you! The PHP update took care of the deletion problem and the links are displaying.

Great to hear!
re: Slim Plus wasn’t showing up at all
PHP was probably timing out caching new images. I’ll have to reset the timer each time an image processing. That should fix that.If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!
