Can you suggest how I can do this with the latest Import plugin?

Since the latest version of the CSV Import actually pulls the fields from the core Connections plugin, the change will have to be made to this file:
../wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/settings/class.options.php
You’ll what to go this part of the file. Change the order of line 803 to 807. just make sure the is a comma at the end of each line.
I haven’t tested this, but it should work.
