ParticipantGood Morning,
I was dinking around with templates this morning and noticed that since I installed and activated the all of the updated add-ons in the add-on pack, and the latest version of cMap, when I choose any of the basic templates that came with the connections program the image does not show up. I tested it on FireFox only, win xp-pro, the default & bio cards.
I have a connections_templates folder int the wp-content folder with some experiments, I deleted all of them except the one I’m using here:

I’d need to see a page where one of the default templates are being used in order to try to determine what the issue might be. Can you put up a test page for me to look at?

ParticipantNo problem, I’m at my paid job now, I only work on this site a couple hours in the mornings. I switched the test page to my default page template and used this short code:
[connections template="card" category='22']
I also have the problem when I try to use the default template as the all template.
It did occur it me I may have done something in my style sheet. http://jhcband.org/wp-content/themes/jhcb/jhcbextra.css
I have a H3:before tag with a bass clef, I did not like that in the contact cards so I added this on the style sheet, it worked on the cMap template as I expected.
/*hack for cMap Connections Template, remove bass cleff*/
.jhcb_wp .post .cn-right h3:before {
content:””;
width:0px;
margin:0px;
background:none !important;

ParticipantIf you looked at the page while I’m working on it this morning it’s not exactly as above. I’ll switch it back in a bit.
Off topic question, it the example correct on this page?
http://connections-pro.com/documentation/connections/shortcodes/shortcode-connections/home_id/I’m trying to work in the home_id into my template page and the text page, and can’t seem to get it correct. However in PHP I sometimes over think things.
Thank You,

Which entries should have pictures? Can you confirm that you have them set to be displayed? Can I get a temp admin account for a closer look?
Yes the home_id instructions are correct. I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to do. It seem the the test page is ID 681. So setting
home_id=681
wouldn’t make any change to which page the entries link to.01/15/2014 at 10:06 am #277159Julie
ParticipantYes, you may have admin access. I will send private reply
Yes, the first several have a logo which shows when I use the cMap template. I have the “ALL” template cMap, but I plan to get one of the excerpt templates and use it for ALL and the cMap for singles. I was trying to edit the default card template when I discovered the image would not work.
Before I installed all my premium add ons and the updated cMap I made the templates on this page http://jhcband.org/events and the images worked as expected (I did not want images on this page)
For the home_id=681, I want the link “Go back to directory.” to go back to the page it came from, instead it goes to specified Connections Homepage (http://jhcband.org/member-resources/business-contacts/). I had tried the home_id=681 yesterday and it did not work, this morning I added double quotes and it worked for a while then stopped working while I was dinking with the widget.
I removed the widget completely and it still would not work.
I deactivated the ‘Use Google Libraries’ I had installed it when I was having problems with this page http://jhcband.org/member-resources/music-library when logged in as a board member the music budget is embedded from Google drive was giving me grief.
I was going to try to have the widget open in that page but I think I’m going to try a different approach and put the widget in my hat for another day.
Thank You,

not sure I need to login now … none of the core templates display the logo. they only display the image that is why cMap showed then and the default templates do not. cMap defaults to showing the logo which is configurable.
Does that solve the problem?

ParticipantYes, that would explain it, I will test when I get back to my home computer. thank you!
