Reading the forums i am not sure i found the solution of what i have to do.
Editing or making new entries render the specific category empty.
Take a look at http://voreiamedia.gr/index.php/vrilissia/ where the 2 entries(after update) do not show up.
Can you please elaborate on the matter please?
Thanks a lot in advance.12/15/2015 at 10:14 am #358143
What is the exact shortcode you are using on this page?12/15/2015 at 11:24 am #358145Vasileios PapageorgiouGuest
[connections category='4' exclude_category='5,7,8']12/15/2015 at 12:13 pm #358147
Can you remove the
exclude_categoryoptions temporarily so the shortcode is only this:
Doe it now work? And can is see?
Also, one thing I just now noticed… I see that your permalink is setup showing the
index.phpin the URL… you should configure WordPress to not display this because Connections is not compatible with it. This also improves the SEO of your site.12/15/2015 at 1:07 pm #358154Vasileios PapageorgiouGuest
I edited the shortcode to [connections], the problem still exists.
Also i changed the permalinks as you advised, thank you for that.12/15/2015 at 1:18 pm #358155
Ok, I have no further ideas for you to try. I need a temp admin account so I can take a closer look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.
I see you are using WP Super Cache. Please empty the page cache and exclude this page from the page cache. It is extremely likely this page was cached by WP Super Cache when no results were displayed and now that is the only page being shown because that is the page being displayed by WP Super Cache.12/16/2015 at 4:08 am #358220Vasileios PapageorgiouGuestThis reply has been marked as private.12/16/2015 at 4:09 am #358221Vasileios PapageorgiouGuest
Forgot to mention that i disabled the WP super cashe and still no change.12/16/2015 at 9:05 am #358257
The shortcode was wrapped in a HTML
<code>tag, removing this tag allowed the shortcode to work. Tip, when working with shortcode, any shortcode for any plugin, it is always best practice to do it in the Text tab of the WordPress editor.
It probably worked before the WP 4.4 update but one of the changes WP did in 4.4 was tighten up its shortcode parser to make it more secure which means some things that use to work will no longer to work.
Hope that helps!
