ParticipantHi, This is a great product!
Quick question: I don’t need so many fields in the entries and in the form. How can I remove unnecessary fields from field groups such as Name? How can I remove the Image block completely? How can I use one field for a full name instead of several fields?

First… I going to assume this question relates to the Form extension, yes?
The first and last name field can not be removed because if an entry type is an Individual those are required fields. That said, here’s what you could do…
Go to the Connections : Settings admin page, click the Form tab. Set the default entry type to Organization and disable the option to allow a user to change the entry type. You can use the instructions in this QuickTip to change the Organization field label to Name. Now, if you decide to do this all your entry will be organizations and there will never be a way to filter or search by just the first or last name.
re: How can I remove the Image block completely?
You can disable this on the Connections : Settings admin page, under the Form tab.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHello Steven,
re: How can I remove the Image block completely?
You can disable this on the Connections : Settings admin page, under the Form tab.
I did just this, disabling “logo” and “image” – though I still get a default empty place holder “no image available”. I’m working with Default Entry Card 3.0. My aim is to have no image/logo.
Any solutions?
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Anja

re: How can I remove the Image block completely?
You can do this using the Template Customizer. Here’s how…
- Go to the Connections : Templates admin page.
- Click the Customize button for the Default Entry Card template.
- Navigate to the Image panel in the Customizer.
- Select None for the Image Type.
- Click an entry name, any entry name, in the preview.
- Select None for the Image Type.
- Click the Save and Publish button.
Now now image will be shown.
If you want to display an image if exists, instead of change the Image Type to None, uncheck the Image Placeholder option.
Hope that helps!

Participantthanks perfect, this helped. I completely overlooked all the possible options because when you open the customize button it jumps immidiatly to the tap “visible”. I also saved my problem regarding the zip code under the tab “expanded”.
so everything fine.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Anja
