does this approach apply the same way to Circles?
i want to update-proof my customizations… as i discovered today i have not done (my pretty directory went to the dogs :) lol… but i’ve figured it back out… )
but since circles is a plugin already… can i just rename a copy in plugins folder?
will you be pushing out updates to circles? should i be concerned?
or is there another way to do this that i haven’t found yet?

Yes, definitely. You can mod both the
card-single.php files in this way and those tweaks will be retained between updates. Works for the CSS and JS files too. Pretty much the only file you can not alter is

Nope, will not work… the folder name is not actually even relevant. It could be named anything.

Yes, a major update to Circled is planned… adding support for the Template Customizer feature.
